Expo 2017 pavilions are commissioned to the participating countries of the exhibition. The procedure took place in the framework of the third meeting of the international fair participants. It was the basic and the final procedure ahead of Expo. Representatives of more than 110 countries took part in the meeting. The Secretary General of the Bureau of International Expositions Vicente Loscertales highly evaluated the preparation of Kazakhstan to the Expo 2017 and stressed the importance of using the exhibition’s infrastructure after its completion. According to Loscertales, the Astana International Finance Centre, International IT-startups Technopark and the Centre for the development of green technologies, which will be opened on the basis of Expo, will provide a long-term effect of holding specialized exhibitions.

We are glad to meet our expectations here. We visited the facility and saw not only an innovative architecture, but also the quality of the pavilions. Also we’ve seen themed pavilions, they satisfy our requirements. I think this is one of the best qualities of the exhibition in my 25 years of participation in the Expo.
ANDRZEJ STEFANSKA, COMMISSIONER OF POLAND’S NATIONAL PAVILION:
Recently, we received the pavilion after a thorough examination of the technical specifications. And I can honestly say that everything was done very efficiently, at a high level. I appreciate Kazakhstan’s preparation to the Expo.
The best social project in the future energy will be chosen at the international exhibition as well. An agreement was signed in Astana on the establishment of EXPO-Cosmos Award. The prize fund will total 20,000 euros. The funds are intended for the further development of “green” project. Meanwhile, the organizers note a rich program which will be presented to the guests of the specialized exhibition. The Kazakh side is currently negotiating with the world’s leading cultural centers.
ASSET ISSEKESHEV, MAYOR OF ASTANA:
There will be more than 500 big events and shows organized during Expo. Our guests will enjoy a well prepared events program. They will be also able to visit concerts of famous singers, international sports competitions, congresses and festivals, including the show by Cirque du Soleil, Mariinsky Theater, La Scala, ancient Egypt exhibition, International Competition for Opera Singers Operalia Placido Domingo, Verdi’s Aida, ethno music festival and many other events.
At present, 115 countries and 18 international organizations have confirmed their participation in the Expo 2017. In addition, for the convenience of foreign guests, Kazakhstan introduced a visa-free regime for 45 countries. In general, the organizers are expecting about 5 million visits during the fair.
