Old Kazakh films will be available in digital format
Old Kazakh films will be available in digital format. This year, the films will be recorded in electronic media. The project will be implemented by the Kazakh Research Institute of Culture and Kazakhfilm. There are over 25,000 films in Kazakhfilm’s fund. High-precision image will be obtained after the digitalization of old filmstrips. Kazakhstan citizens will be able to watch the famous movies in color on television.

There are many documentary, feature films and cartoons of the Soviet time in the Kazakhstan’s film fund. They are stored in film strips, not digitalized. Our project will let to digitalize them in order to promote movie industry’s cultural heritage.
The head of state told about the development of digital industry in his address to nation. Kazakh scientists are planning to display Kazakhstan’s cultural and historical sites on Google maps within the next three years.

We will start this year. New Google maps will be available in 3 years. The time when everything was drawn manually on a computer is passing. At present, there are at least virtual terrain and GIS software. It will be on all electronic devices worldwide. All the paper maps will be digitalized. We will not be able to display all the 11,000 we will take only the most interesting ones.
South Korean scientist Hanschin Pak San Nam believes that the tasks outlined at the Kazakh President’s address will let Kazakhstan successfully develop digital technologies.

It is important that Nursultan Nazarbayev proposes to speed up the transition to digital technology, artificial intelligence and robotics. This will allow the country to embark on a new stage of development.
According to the Latvian expert, the world is facing the forth industrial revolution. The priorities outlined at the Kazakh President’s address will help Kazakhstan to create a new model of the economy. Alexander Vidyakin said that not only Europe but the entire world should be attentive to Nursultan Nazarbayev’s forecasts.

The president raised a global issue: not only for Kazakhstan, but that the whole world is facing the fourth industrial revolution. New digital technologies, digital economy - we will certainly have to develop and share them. We should jointly develop them appreciating President Nazarbayev’s contribution in the creation of the right policy. I think we could cooperate in this sphere and share the results.
