The heads of two largest international organizations were awarded the medal ‘25th Independence Anniversary of Kazakhstan’ at the Kazakh Embassy in Austria. In accordance with President Nazarbayev’s decree, IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) Director General Yukiya Amano and CTBTO (Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization) Executive Secretary Lassina Zerbo received awards for their contributions to cooperation development. Delivering a speech at the awarding ceremony, Kazakh Ambassador to Austria Kairat Sarybai emphasized that President Nazarbayev highly appreciates the activities of the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) and the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization. The ceremony participants also discussed Nursultan Nazarbayev’s initiatives proposed at the 70th session of the UN General Assembly. They particularly stressed Kazakhstan’s contribution to strengthening international security and promotion of anti-nuclear campaign.
