EXPO 2017 in Astana will be visited by the heads of states

EXPO 2017 in Astana will be visited by the heads of states, heads of major companies and transnational corporations, politicians and well-known foreign public figures. It was reported that the President of the Czech Republic Milos Zeman will attend the opening ceremony. Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic have visited the exhibition facilities. The Head of Delegation Jan Hamacek noted the importance of participation of the Czech Republic in EXPO 2017 and announced their intention to introduce the most advanced modern technology.


Expo has created new jobs during the period of economic crisis. We concluded memoranda of cooperation with all regions of Kazakhstan. Every region has delivered its products, provided services and sent workers here. There were nearly 50,000 workers.

In addition, Malaysian Prime Minister will visit the international exposition, Malaysian national section commissioner said at the meeting with the chairman of the NC Astana Expo 2017. The sides discussed technical issues. Akhmetzhan Yessimov said that the construction of the Kazakhstan, international and thematic pavilions is completed. The new facilities are being transferred to the Expo participants. Zain Bin Udzhang, in turn, expressed gratitude for the provided pavilion and the opportunity to participate in such large-scale event. The upcoming exhibition continues to trigger great interest: 610,000 Expo tickets have been already sold. Foreign visitors purchased 12% of them.


We are opening ticket offices in all regional centers of Kazakhstan starting from March. We also plan to open 5 ticket offices in Russia. There are different types of tickets: fixed weekday and weekend tickets, and also open date tickets that one can use on any day. From the 1st of February 2017, all visitors can exchange their open date ticket for fixed date tickets.

Expo tickets are available on the official website, and also in the two ticket offices in Astana and another two in Almaty. Starting from March 2017, the tickets will be available in all regions’ main cities throughout Kazakhstan. 112 countries and 18 international organizations have officially confirmed their participation in the Expo 2017. 18 countries have already started designing their thematic pavilions. The organizers estimate, the specialized exhibition in Astana will be visited by 2.5 million visitors.
