Leonardo DiCaprio to visit Kazakhstan
Hollywood star and the UN Peace Ambassador on Climate Leonardo DiCaprio will visit Astana to attend for ceremony of signing the agreement between the Government of Kazakhstan and the World Wildlife Fund for revival of tiger population. According to the Green Economy Coalition and Development of «G-Global», since last year, the organization has launched the preparation of the agreement within the partnership program "Green Bridge". It is a comprehensive program aimed at restoration of the ecosystem in the Ili-Balkhash region and the revival of tiger population. The World Wildlife Fund suggested this initiative to be implemented in Kazakhstan a few years ago, but the negotiations have just begun.

We are preparing an important agreement between the World Wildlife Fund and the Kazakh government. The first stage of the project will require10 milliom euros. The agreement will be signed on September 8-9, 2017 just before the end of the Expo. Our initiative, announced two years ago, is to invite the first and only UN Messenger of Peace with a special focus on climate change Leonardo DiCaprio to Kazakhstan. We will most likely succeed.
According to Saltanat Rakhimbekova, the World Wildlife Fund will be represented by Princess Laurentien of the Netherlands, who is the head of the Netherlands Climate Change Fund. At present, the ministries and Astana EXPO-2017 are preparing a venue for the ceremony.
