Kazakhstan, France mark 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations
French President Francois Hollande congratulated President Nursultan Nazarbayev on the 25th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the two countries. French ambassador to Kazakhstan voiced a congratulatory letter of the French President during the meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Astana. In his letter, Francois Hollande expressed confidence that the agreements reached during the Kazakh President’s visit in Paris in November 2015, will be performed, and the French-Kazakh cooperation will be permanent and effective. This year, the issuance of postage stamps, exhibitions and concerts are planned to mark the anniversary dates.
FRANCIS ETIENNE, FRENCH AMBASSADOR TO KAZAKHSTAN:
It is important to show how successful our cooperation is. And we have developed a logo marking 25 years since the establishment of the diplomatic relations. The logo is designed in the form of a flower, which contains the colors of Kazakhstan and France. It symbolizes the friendship and prosperity of the two countries’ cooperation.
France was the first country in Europe to recognize Kazakhstan’s sovereignty. At present, the volume of French investments into the country’s economy totals more than $13 billion. If Astana cooperates with Nice, then Atyrau plans to expand contacts with Marcel. Air traffic, which was opened in 2015, between Astana and Paris has contributed to the development of political, economic and cultural relations.
