Kazakhstan’s regions boost industrial development
Major infrastructure projects are actively implemented in Kazakhstan. In 2016, several new industrial projects were commissioned only in Pavlodar region. The longest bridge in the Central Asia across the Irtysh River with the length of 12.5 kilometers was opened in the region.
ERSIN SARIEV, DIRECTOR, PAVLODAR BRANCH OF KAZAVTOZHOL:
We used advanced engineering solutions, such as the technology of lifting the central arch using specialized lifting hydraulic jacks and cables, as well as Kazakhstan’s first flexible suspension in the form of shrouds.
In addition, for the first time in the history of Kazakhstan, a unique cargo - reactors for petrochemical plant, which currently undergoes modernization, was delivered from South Korea to Pavlodar. Already this year, the enterprise will produce the first batch of Euro-4 gasoline. Metallurgy, mechanical engineering, chemical, petrochemical, energy were boosted and industrial production growth in the Irtysh region totaled 10% in 2016. Last year was successful for northern Kazakhstan enterprises. The largest plant in the region for the production of freight railway carriages benefited 6 billion tenge. Last year, the production volume at the plant has doubled. Freight railway carriages, grain carts and platforms for containers are produced at the enterprise. There was no such production in Kazakhstan before. It is planned to reach the capacity of thousands of freight carriages annually. Also, it is planned to increase local content at the plant. That is parts, including, for repair will be produced independently. In the long term, products will be exported.
OLEG CHUDOPAL, CHIEF ENGINEER, PLANT FOR MANUFACTURING OF FREIGHT CARRIAGES:
We can ship cargoes with increased capacity of 5 tons. Also, they passed the full cycle of tests in the test center. We will boost production this year.
In total, last year, industrial enterprises in northern Kazakhstan produced goods worth 170 billion tenge.
