Russian public figures receive awards
Russian public figures, who have made a major contribution to the socio-economic development and the formation of Kazakhstan’s statehood, have been awarded in Moscow. The ceremony was devoted to the 25th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Independence. The Academician Viktor Sadovnichy, the President of the Russian Manufacturers’ Union Oleg Soskovets, prominent state and public figure Tair Mansurov were awarded with jubilee medals in a solemn atmosphere.
VIKTOR SADOVNICHIY, RECTOR, MOSCOW STATE UNIVERSITY:
This award, I believe, is a symbol of cooperation and the friendship that exists between Russia and Kazakhstan, between the MSU and Kazakhstan. It is thousands of students who study at the Moscow State University, the branch of the Moscow State University in Astana, the newly established research and educational center in Astana. There are many projects of the Eurasian Association of Universities which are being successfully implemented.
