Aktobe region to present 25 projects at EXPO 2017
25 projects were chosen for the international specialized exhibition Expo 2017 from Aktobe region. They offer options for saving water and energy, waste management and reduction of harmful emissions into the atmosphere.
ERMEK KENZHEKHANULY, HEAD OF AKTOBE REGIONAL TOURISM DEPARTMENT:
We selected 25 projects in the field of green economy. Projects include solutions in agriculture. In addition, we have a project on recycling of waste, waste collection and production of additional materials like packaging from waste.
Young inventors are also ready to present their projects in the “Green Economy” section. The young innovators from the technical creativity center produced several works, which will be represented at the world’s fair. Darya Goncharova and Alina Filimenyuk have recently returned from the national championship “Kaz Robo Sport-2016”. Their joint project “Smart greenhouse” has won a prize. The development is equipped with sensors of the soil and temperature, to control irrigation and warmth growing inside. This vegetable growing method eliminates human participation, the school students say, and a greenhouse can be managed through phone or tablet.
DARYA GONCHAROVA, CO-AUTHOR, “SMART GREENHOUSE” PROJECT:
Our greenhouse is completely universal. It can fulfill any action instead of a person. For example, it grows by itself; there is an automated drip irrigation. Also, a certain atmosphere in the greenhouse is kept. Light mechanics is installed in order to extend the daylight.
ALEXANDER GONCHAROV, VICE PRESIDENT, KAZROBOTICS:
There are the developers, who make two more projects for the Expo - a smart house and a poultry farm. Young inventors are creating these projects. We hope that in the spring everything will be ready.
The Robotics club in the technical creativity center was opened five years ago. The instructor says in recent years, this trend is developing intensively across the country. Robots of local production resemble toy cars. But their capabilities and functions are varied, some can recognize colors and go for the designated line route, others have memory.
