Al-Farabi research center opens at Istanbul University
Al-Farabi Research Center was opened at the oldest prestigious university of Turkey in the University of Istanbul with the help of the Kazakh National University. The institution is aimed at replenishing the treasury of knowledge with the great thinker’s studies. According to prominent professors, scientists, Turkic language specialists, this will give impetus to further deepening of partnerships in education and science between Kazakhstan and Turkey. The center is equipped with the conference rooms for seminars, individual lecture halls, and library. The institution’s fund will be replenished not only with the philosopher’s works, but also with the works by the Kazakh scientists, documentary films about the life of the distinguished figure.

Born on the Kazakh land, the world’s famous thinker, leading scientist of the Turkic peoples, the Islamic world’s philosopher, Al-Farabi made an enormous contribution to the global development and civilization.

We have opened this Research Center which has great prospects. In the future new studies, research and discoveries will be made and the professionals will be trained at the center. We have been particularly involved in staff training in the past two years. There is a multidisciplinary agreement. All our specialists conduct research here. The students and scientists from Turkey are working with us.
The management of the Kazakh National University and the Istanbul University also discussed the students exchange programs and scientific and practical works of faculty. In this regard, the parties have reached mutual agreements.
