HIGH-GRADE ALUMINUM CLUSTERS CREATED IN PAVLODAR REGION
Pavlodar region’s aluminum cluster will yield great impetus to the development of Kazakhstan’s metallurgy. This region will provide the country with doped aluminum, specialists say. These products will allow conducting deep conversion stages of the "winged metal" manufactured in the first Kazakhstan electrolysis plant. It is this company that was heading breakthrough projects in the first five years of the Industrial-Innovative Development Program. It was built and put into operation just within two years. The plant has already produced more than one million eight hundred thousand tons of high-grade aluminum. Over ten years, the company has managed to achieve not only the best performance but also to move away from dependence on raw materials. Since then, the plant has almost completely refused from imports and started manufacturing its own products. In addition, Kazakhstan’s calcinated coke is used in production of aluminum since last year.
