25TH ANNIVERSARY OF KAZAKHSTAN’S INDEPENDENCE CELEBRATED ABROAD
The 25th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Independence was marked at the country’s Embassy in Belgium. In Brussels, representatives of the European Commission and the European Parliament, the Belgian Government, the diplomatic missions’ leaders, business and public circles noted the progress Kazakhstan has achieved and emphasized its important role at the global and regional level. The guests learnt about the basic provisions of the state program "Nurly Zhol" and the Nation’s Plan "100 steps to implement the five institutional reforms", Kazakhstan’s agenda as a non-permanent member in the UN Security Council and the major foreign policy initiatives.

Kazakhstan was named a mature country. We are recognized as peers in Europe and even say that Europe has something to learn from Kazakhstan’s experience. This indicates those achievements that our country has reached during the 25 years of Independence.

I wish to Kazakh people much success for the next 25 and the next 250 years because Kazakhstan has achieved great deal in these 25 years and it is really impressive to see how far Kazakhstan has progressed. Now I think we are at the Expo which is an important possibility many European Union member states to show their achievements also in Astana it’s an important possibility for us to deepen our cooperation.
Ankara congratulated Kazakhstan on the quarter century jubilee and organized a reception with the support of Kazakh Embassy in Turkey. The event brought together the heads of the political parties, Parliament members, public figures and representatives of the Kazakh diaspora who discussed Kazakhstan’s international initiatives. At the same time, the guests have noted that over 25 years of Independence Kazakhstan has turned into a country enjoying the well-deserved reputation in the world community.

I congratulate you on the Independence Day. Over the past 25 years, Kazakhstan has done a tremendous amount of work; a lot of effort has been made towards the formation of an independent state under the leadership of the President. Relations between Kazakhstan and Turkey have great potential.
Georgia has also celebrates the 25th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s independence. The event on this occasion was attended by public figures, diplomats and Georgian Prime Minister. Giorgi Kvirikashvili said that Kazakhstan has become a very important strategic partner for Georgia just in a few years.
