ETHNIC ASSEMBLY HOLDS KAZAKH LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT
More than 109,000 Kazakhstanis improved their proficiency in the state language. These are the results of a unique educational project of the Kazakhstan People’s Assembly “Myn Bala”, within which in two years the young people of different nationalities studied the Kazakh language by the ethnic assembly’s special method. The project’s most distinguished participants were awarded in Astana. Young contestants had to demonstrate their writing and speaking skills to win the award.
MARINA HVAN, PROJECT WINNER:
I am taking part in the project for the first time. I wrote an essay on the theme “25 years of Kazakhstan’s Independence”. This is a landmark event in my life. I met many interesting people, improved my knowledge of the Kazakh language.

The project has received an enormous support. The number of participants increases every year. In two years, more than 1,5 million children participated in this project.
According to the organizers, in 2017, “Myn Bala” will become one of the ethnic assembly’s key projects. Participation is absolutely free. Applications will be submitted to regional houses of friendship.
