New tourist destinations open in Kazakhstan
New tourist destinations will start working in Kazakhstan. They were discovered during the expedition ‘Uly Dala Tarikhy’, organized by Kazakhstan’s Ethnic Assembly to mark the 25th anniversary of country’s independence. Participants of the project overcame more than 30,000 kilometers, and presented several dozen sites with unique history. In their opinion, ethnic and cultural villages may quite raise interest among foreign tourists, so the members of the expedition offered to include these sites in the map of tourist routes for visitors of the international exhibition. The Ministry of Investments and Development supported the idea of the ethnic assembly. Previously, the ministry approved 73 routes for the guests of the Expo 2017.
Marat IGALIEV, SENIOR STAFF, MINISTRY OF INVESTMENTS AND DEVELOPMENT:
After the Expo is closed in September, the tourist routes will still remain. This work will be carried out on a regular basis, and we will get a very good result. We expect to include another 10-15 routes. Mostly, such routes will only increase. New sites will be opened.
