Belgian company to present projects at EXPO 2017
CMI Group and a number of other Belgian companies will represent Belgium at Expo 2017 in Astana. Large metallurgical corporation plans to implement projects in Kazakhstan in construction of gas turbine power plants and other facilities of renewable energy in Kyzylorda region. The corporation will present all the projects in the field of ‘green’ energy technologies at the specialized exhibition. According to investors, stable development of Kazakhstan’s economy and its unique geographical position are an important factor for companies’ joining the energy sphere of Kazakhstan.

At the end of this year, in early 2017 the latest, we are planning to present the products and the technologies, so that then to show them to the whole world. And Expo 2017 is a good platform for leading companies, countries. Belgium has a lot of technologies in the renewable energy sector.

CMI is an industrial group specialized in energy. And Astana exhibition 2017 is based on Energy of the Future. So we like to contribute to the energy development in your country, especially based on gas, gas turbine combine cycle, and of solar, concentrated solar plant. So we have signed an agreement, memorandum of understanding with the government. So, we hope that by coming June we will jointly develop projects for renewable energy based on solar.
