Four new books aimed at preserving the Kazakh cultural heritage and identity have been presented in Astana. The publications talk about Kazakh jewelry-making, the history of weapons. The new books have entered the series of the Research Institute of the Kazakh National Museum. Another book is a historical biography ‘Shokan Ualikhanov’ by writer Zharylkap Beisenbaiuly, which reveals interesting details of life of the great Kazakh scholar.

Many people think that there are a lot of books about Shokan Ualikhanov. But in this book the author himself took the route the ethnographer and traveler Ualikhanov had taken. Based on this, and previously known facts, uniting all the details, a very exciting and unique book was published in Russian.
The book presentation was held as part of the 2016 Eurasian Book Fair. 80 publishers from 14 countries presented their works at the fair. Eurasian Book Fair is held for the first time and is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Independence.
