High-tech projects to be implemented in Eastern Kazakhstan
Not only young scientists and students realize that the future belongs to innovations. New technologies are already being introduced in East Kazakhstan region. Major enterprises of the region are ready to implement 10 high-tech projects. This was discussed in Ust-Kamenogorsk, at the meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister Askar Mamin with the heads of universities and the major industrial enterprises of the region. For instance, the management of the Ulba Metallurgical Plant in Ust-Kamenogorsk is planning to establish production of superconductors for magnetic resonance imaging. Kazzinc intends to develop the technology of atmospheric leaching of low-grade concentrates and upgrade the process of obtaining lead and zinc. At Asia Auto, the members of the delegation discussed the possibility of concessional lending of further construction of the full cycle automobile plant.

10 research projects are under development. All these projects are aimed at development of new kinds of production in Eastern Kazakhstan. Following the visit of the Deputy Prime Minister, he has instructed the Ministry of Education and Science to start the implementation of these projects, with support from the state, in 2017.
