New photo exhibition opens in Astana
A unique photo exhibition "Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Kazakhs" is being held at the National Museum in Astana. The exposition will last until the end of the year. At the exhibition, visitors can learn about the development of the traditional Kazakh art. The exhibition features photographs of the people who have made a special contribution to the development of such sorts of art as kui, aitys, and narration. The performance of dombra kui, making yurts, as well as the art of improvisation aitys entered the list of UNESCO World Heritage. The list will be expanded and include falconry, the national wrestling kazaksha kures, and together with other Turkic-speaking countries - the celebration of Nauryz.

The photos themselves became objects of great rarity because they encompass the period of the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries, three centuries. Moreover, they have historical value since they show the development of such arts as aitys, kui and other genres of musical art.
