The number of air flights between Kazakhstan and China will grow to 42 per week ahead of the world’s fair in 2017, Kazakh ambassador to China Shakhrat Nuryshev reported at the briefing. Its area is 1,000 square meters and the theme is ‘Future Energy: Green Silk Road’ According to the diplomat, Chinese travel companies express huge interest in the upcoming international exhibition. According to various estimates, over 200,000 people will visit Expo in Astana. Kazakh Ministry of Investments and Development and China’s National Tourism Administration signed a memorandum in December last year to facilitate tourism flow between the two countries. The list of 63 companies that will receive Chinese tourists has been approved.

President Xi Jinping is expected to arrive in Kazakhstan in June next year. He will also participate in SCO summit and in the opening of the Expo-2017. China plans to organize 100 various events and presentations in its pavilion during the exposition.
