Over 25 years Kazakhstan has made an incredible breakthrough in its development

2016 is a landmark year in the life of Kazakhstanis. 25 years ago the country gained its independence. Over the years, Kazakhstan has made an incredible breakthrough in its development. Each region contributed to the achievements of the entire country.


Over 25 years, many new enterprises were launched in Karaganda region. Modernization of the large productions as Zhezkazgan copper smelting plant and Temirtau metallurgical plant is well underway.  



We have launched new industries that we had never had before. The bright example is the pharmaceutical complex.


Gross regional product of Akmola region during the years of independence has increased by 11 times, and the volume of industrial production grew by ten times. Akmola is among the three leading regions at present. 70 new industrial and innovative projects are being successfully implemented. Indicators of the mining industry are growing. Fields of sulfur, rare earth metals, and building stone are being developed in the region. Gold mining industry is leading. Last year, 20 tons of gold was produced in the region that is 35% of the total production.  For instance, an enterprise in Zerenda district is aimed to bring 15 billion tenge of tax revenues in the budget. In addition, the plant extended development of the deposit for another twenty years.



We produce 12 tons of high grade gold per year. We hope to continue successful work in the future. I wish prosperity and success to Kazakhstan.


During the years of independence, Southern Kazakhstan has succeeded to transform into an industrial region from an agricultural economy. At present, it has 11 industrial zones. Out of 166 enterprises, which have been commissioned within the industrialization map, 20% were established with participation of foreign capital. For instance, Southern Kazakhstan jointly with Turkey manufactures carpets, which are exported to Europe. Deep-well pumps are produced at the Kazakh-German enterprise. The Iranian businessmen are building a meat processing plant and a greenhouse complex. Chinese investments went toward construction of Kazakhstan’s largest plant for processing of camel milk. South Korean investors are investing in the food industry, mechanical engineering and pharmaceuticals. According to experts, the region has a ​​great potential for development. There are a lot of new projects to implement.
