At present, Kazakhstan is one top three trade partners of Tajikistan along with Russia and China. Between January and August, the trade turnover made up $404 million. Tajikistan modernizes its economy and needs great amount of metal, fitting and so on. Let me give you an example. Literally two months ago our Kazakh entrepreneurs have already sold products worth $9 million.
Tajikistan is also interested in Kazakhstan’s pharmaceutical products. In particular, one of the long operating companies of the CIS, Khimpharm manufactures good quality medications that meet all international requirements. Supply of medications from the neighboring Kazakhstan will be cheaper for Tajik partners rather than importing from Iran and Russia.
