North Kazakhstan region’s manufacturers presented food products to Russian partners at Kurgan Agricultural Fair. Moreover, the price correlates to quality. In just one day, domestic producers sold goods for 10 million tenge.

 

Nadezhda TYUNINA, RESIDENT OF KURGAN:

 I was very pleased to get to this fair. We have a lot of branches, shops of Kazakhstan’s products.  I always buy tea, different sweets, and cakes. I like them. We are happy that we have such fairs.

 

Georgy TSELYH, DIRECTOR OF DAIRY FACTORY, PETROPAVLOVSK:

Since June, we deliver our products to 11 stores 3 times a week. Now the volume of orders is increasing.

 

In addition, leadership of cross border regions signed a memorandum of cooperation. The document is aimed at the development of business, tourism and agriculture. By the way, this year the trade turnover between the North Kazakhstan region and Russia amounted to more than 30 billion tenge.

 

Yerik SULTANOV, GOVERNOR OF NORTH KAZAKHSTAN REGION:

We are now developing the industry. There is a mutual interest. We're talking about possible cooperation with municipal equipment manufacturers.

 

Alexey KOKORIN, GOVERNOR OF KURGAN OBLAST:

We are negotiating on possibilities to deliver liquefied natural gas to the North Kazakhstan region and the border part of the Kurgan region. This project has long existed. If we manage to agree, it will be a step forward mutually beneficial partnership. Both Kurgan and North Kazakhstan regions will benefit from this.
