Ethnic Assembly: Kazakhstan’s entry into UN Security Council indicates international recognition
Kazakhstan’s joining the UN Security Council is vivid proof of the advantageous foreign policy conducted by the country and its policy of peace and harmony. On Friday, the deputy chairman of Kazakhstan People’s Assembly Yeraly Tugzhanov shared such an opinion at the civil forum of national and cultural centers of the CICA member states. According to him, this event was a real triumph for all people of Kazakhstan.
Yeraly TUGZHANOV, DEPUTY CHAIRMAN, KAZAKHSTAN PEOPLE’S ASSEMBLY:
Membership will be dedicated to specific tasks. Firstly, a stable and secure world - this is what we want for all the citizens. I think there is nothing more important than stability and social cohesion of each state, which, of course, will affect the citizens. Secondly, Kazakhstan will take advantage of such a chance to make a confident and prosperous future. Third, Kazakhstan will make the entire world’s attention to focus on initiatives to build a world free of nuclear weapons.

It is great opportunity for Kazakhstan. And I think Kazakhstan has been doing a great job on being between important countries. And also they are eager to do this peace building. I think this is what Thailand wants to know more about is that the way that Kazakhstan deals with their problems and also the way, the model that they are going to use in this conflict confrontation of a set.

Meanwhile, international experts noted the importance of Kazakh President’s manifesto ‘The world, XXI Century’, as well as the experience of the unique body - Kazakhstan People’s Assembly. According to them, guided by an official document of the United Nations and the Kazakhstani model of social harmony and unity, it will be possible to achieve peace and security in the Asian region.

Member States, confirming the commitment to the UN Charter, have come to a common understanding that peace and security in Asia can only be achieved through dialogue and cooperation leading to a common indivisible security, where the states will coexist peacefully and their peoples will live in the atmosphere of peace, freedom and prosperity. On this basis, the CICA secretariat stresses its readiness for further work with the Kazakhstan People’s Assembly in order to achieve our common goals.
