UN Assistant Secretary-General on Kazakhstan’s moving towards green economy
Assistant Secretary General of the UN Cihan Sultanoglu held a press conference at the Astana Economic Forum. She highlighted the intention of Kazakhstan to move to the green economy. She said Kazakhstan's decision to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases by a quarter and to get 30% of energy from alternative sources is consistent with the objectives of sustainable development of the United Nations.

We are part of these efforts and we are very happy that we have helped to improve the legal basis for development of green energy and already there is a great expertise that’ve been developed in Kazakhstan for that.
