DAMU fund to receive nearly 28 bln tenge for development of SMES
According to "Damu" Entrepreneurship Development Fund, the number of businessmen in Kazakhstan in 2016 should increase noticeably. As Chairman of the Foundation Lyazzat Ibragimova said at today's briefing, a half thousand entrepreneurs will be subsidized this year. 28 billion tenge will be allocated to support small and medium enterprises. In addition, according to Ibragimova, this year, the fund plans to attract 30 bln tenge from the World Bank, 30 billion from the Asian Development Bank and $5 bln from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

In 2016 the total amount of allocated funds remained in full. We will get 28 bln tenge for the development of subsidy tools. In addition, in December, we received resources of the National Fund – 7.2 bln tenge to subsidize loans taken for working capital.
1,595 companies receive aid in 2015 under business roadmap program
Meanwhile, the head of the fund also said that 1595 domestic companies were supported last year as part of the "Business Road Map-2020" program. Most of them are the rural enterprises. Entrepreneurs received subsidies worth a total loan portfolio of 260 billion tenge.
