SHOLPAN ABYKESHOVA, SENIOR STAFF, REGIONAL LOCAL HISTORY MUSEUM:
- Our exposition’s most valued exhibit is a khan’s costume, made of velvet of green color and decorated with golden and bronze threads. Also there is a chapan of a memorial significance. It is a chapan of our famed akyn Zhayau Mussa dated from 20th-30th years last century.
Famous akyn Zhayau Musa was born in Bayanaul, the Pavlodar region. Today, his fellow countrymen continue the path of a musician in the world of folk art. Young dombyra players gathered at a traditional creative evening. This time the program was dedicated to the 160th anniversary of Mashkhur Zhusup Kopeyev. Young talents performed works of great Kurmangazy, Dauletkerei, Dina Nurpeisova, Abdimomyn Zheldybayev. In recent years the school of dombyra players has been formed in the Pavlodar region. Students of the school repeatedly became winners of republican and international competitions.
NURBOL KARATAI, CONTEST PARTICIPANT:
- I've been playing dombyra for five years. I have participated in many competitions. Recently I won a grand prix at the republican contest. Such competitions motivate us. We have the opportunity to reveal our creative potential.
DAMIRA SYZDYKOVA, TEACHER OF MUSIC:
- We took part in the contest with 23 high schools of Pavlodar. Today our best student perfectly performed the kuis of Kurmangazy, Tattimbet, Dauletkerei and Dina Nurpeisova. We really liked the competition.
