Kazakhstan is demonstrating high rates of development. This fact was highlighted by the world’s authoritative politicians and experts who took part in the third meeting of the Astana Club. Along with economic success, foreign analysts also spoke highly of Kazakhstan's peacekeeping efforts and mediation activities, including those aimed at resolving major conflicts. Meeting of the Astana Club was attended by the representatives of 29 countries, including former heads of state.
ABDULLAH GUL, FORMER PRESIDENT OF TURKEY:
- Decisions taken since the country was formed played crucial role in its development. In my speech I have highlighted that Kazakhstan is becoming a centre of prosperity in Central Asia. Kazakhstan is becoming an important hub due to rational use of revenues, development of transport and logistics potential and economic growth.
VACLAV KLAUS, FORMER PRESIDENT OF CZECH REPUBLIC:
- I have seen Astana when it was starting to be built, and now I see a great improvement. Astana is a symbol of the entire country.
Famous politicians and diplomats discussed a number of topics at the meeting of the Astana Club. The discussions were related to the development of the transport potential of the countries of the Eurasian continent, world trade and other modern challenges. According to experts, the Astana club, proclaimed as an international platform for the exchange of views, proved its relevance.

- This is the third meeting of the club and it is traditionally held in a very frank and honest atmosphere. There is a direct exchange of views. The first session let the participants talk openly, it was very interesting. A wide range of issues was discussed.
