Kazakh artists perform in Paris
The Parisian public enjoyed music of the Great Steppe. Kurmangazy Kazakh State Academic Orchestra of Folk Instruments and the Astana Opera troupe performed at the most prestigious Espace Pierre Cardin Theater de Ville as part of the "Modernization of Public Consciousness" program

- French public has warmly welcomed us. They love our music and the works of Kazakh composers, starting from kuys to large compositions. Our aim is to present the Kazakh art, Kazakh culture and national instruments such dombra, kobyz, saz-syrnai abroad.
Silva Aria from the opera of the same name performed by Honored artist of Kazakhstan Maira Mukhamedkyzy made a splash among the Parisian public. The European capital fell in love with the prima of Astana Opera since her brilliant performances in the French Palais Garnier.
MAIRA MUKHAMEDKYZY, LEADING SOLOIST, ASTANA OPERA:
- Kazakhstan is being actively promoted now. Many countries learnt about Kazakhstan after holding EXPO 2017. The national program ‘Modernization of Public Consciousness’ is providing an opportunity to promote Kazakh culture abroad. Therefore, this concert’s program includes works that fully demonstrate the achievements of the Kazakh art, culture and traditions.

The spectators loudly applauded every performance of Kazakh artists. The public loved the mixture of the dombra music by Kurmangazy and Dauletkerei and the compositions by Mozart. The final medley of Kazakh and French folk songs and contemporary works of Kazakh composers pleased the French audience. The audience called Kazakh artists for an encore.
