Almaty hosted the International Digital Kazakhstan summit

State officials, businessmen and scientists at the International Digital Kazakhstan summit in Almaty discussed the IT trends. The main highlight of the summit was the state Digital Kazakhstan program. The experts said that the dual approach is effective strategy for creating IT departments in enterprises.

- We studied the existing experience and realized that there is a very good example of the joint work by KBTU and KazZink in the East Kazakhstan region. This experience will be implemented in other enterprises.
KANAT KOZHAKHMET, RECTOR, SULEYMAN DEMIREL UNIVERSITY:
- A university should be in close cooperation with industries. We need a constant dialogue. The new trends should be included in a curriculum and in laboratories.
The developers and scientists presented not only ideas and concepts at the summit, but the good to go developments for needs of a population. For example, androids help customers of a postal service to tackle issues of sending parcels. This biometric system can easily clarify the identity of a visitor.

- Biometrics can be used not only in credit risks but also in a greater degree in risky operations like deposits and transferring large sums of money. The service can be installed in a shopping center. CCTV can be installed and it determines faces and understands that it's a client whom the bank works with.
According to the result of the International Digital Kazakhstan summit, the companies agreed on certain topics. In general, the experts said that the state program will positively affect automation of processes and will give an impetus for the qualitative development of e-commerce. The implementation of the program is estimated at 300 billion tenge.
