New technologies in application

‘Industrialization should become the flagship of introducing new technologies.’ This is how President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, announced the number one goal in the state-of the nation address. The Karagandy Foundry and Engineering Plant has already begun to digitize technological processes. Lathes have been replaced by smart machines with digital control. An operator installs the part, opens the desired program and after 4 minutes the innovative equipment issues the necessary product.

TIMUR MASHAYEV, DEPUTY CHIEF TECHNOLOGIST, KARAGANDA FOUNDRY AND ENGINEERING PLANT:

- It gives significant time savings for development which reduces the number of errors. This is due to the fact that errors seem virtual and not during the failure occurs in the machine.

More than 100 work places are equipped at the plant with advanced computer technologies. Approximately 14 billion tenge was allocated for the modernization of production. With the participation of German and Russian specialists, the training program was established and the 95 employees of the plant have already mastered it.

GULNARA BIZHANOVA, MEMBER OF MAZHILIS, LOWER HOUSE OF KAZAKH PARLIAMENT:

 - The head of state highlighted that today human capital is the forefront. This year the company has invested into the budget more than 600 million tenge to train specialists. In its territory the enterprise organized a department of new technologies and production of equipment as well as attracted teachers from the Karagandy State Technical University to this process.

The Karagandy Foundry and Engineering Plant provides the companies with the mining equipment. Last year, they made products worth 6,5 billion tenge. After the modernization, this figure has doubled.
