Seoul hosted the presentation of the South Korean EXPO 2017 pavilion
Seoul hosted the presentation of the South Korean EXPO 2017 pavilion. Its area is more than a thousand square meters. South Korean specialists will demonstrate different types of alternative energy using their newest technologies. A sample of a hydrogen car weighing one and a half tons has already been shipped to Astana by sea.
CHOI KWANG SIK, DESIGNER, SOUTH KOREAN PAVILION:
- There will be an airplane model operating on solar batteries. It can fly around the Earth. The installation of all elements is completed by 80%. It is only needed to install the software for artists’ visual performance.
BYUNG YUN SOP, DIRECTOR, SOUTH KOREAN PAVILION:
- Our pavilion will occupy two floors. The first floor is designed to demonstrate Korea's energy technologies, and the second – for Korean culture. We expect that we will be visited by half a million people in 93 days of the exhibition.
The artists’ dancing performance narrated about alternative energy. B-boy band, step dancers and folk instruments ensemble will entertain guests at the EXPO in Astana. Kay pop stars will perform in Kazakhstan as well but their names are kept secret.
PARK JOON HYUK, PERFORMANCE DIRECTOR :
- We have selected artists to perform at the exposition in Astana. Among the seven artists is a B-boy band, the winner of two world dance contest.
South Korean artists are heading to Astana, and even though it is their first visit, they have already learnt some phrases in Kazakh.
