SCIENCE FESTIVAL KICKS OFF IN ASTANA
Science Festival kicked off in Astana. The project was launched by the First President’s Foundation. Its goal is to support young scientists and encourage them to do more research. Scientists presented their IT developments and projects on increasing the efficiency of certain enterprises and industries.
SULTAN AITZHANOV, DEPUTY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, FOUNDATION OF FIRST PRESIDENT OF KAZAKHSTAN:
- The lectures will be held as part of the Festival of Science for certain period of time. During the festival, all lectures will be available on YouTube, on the channel of the First President’s Foundation.
As organizers say, anyone has a chance to receive the Foundation’s support. They only need to take the initiative and make a good presentation.
MAKPAL ASSEMBAYEVA, SCIENTIST, FOUNDATION’S GRANT RECIPIENT:
- I came here to present my project on Kazakhstan’s energy system planning. The main purpose of our project is to raise the awareness among expo visitors about the current situation in Kazakhstan’s energy sector, and about opportunities of making a transition to green energy.
According to the organizers, the project will help to demonstrate the achievements of Kazakhstan's science and strengthen cooperation between scientists, representatives of the business community and students of Russian universities. The festival will be open throughout the year. Its results are scheduled to be announced in December.
