Vaccination against acute viral respiratory infections and influenza begins in Nur-Sultan
According to the official website of Nur-Sultan’s mayoral office, residents of the capital will be able to get a vaccine against acute viral respiratory infections and influenza. Patients just need to contact the clinic to which they are attached. The medicine is involved in the package of guaranteed free medical care.
“The main way to prevent acute viral respiratory infections and influenza is the vaccine, which ensures the production of antibodies. Protective agents in the body kill and destroy viruses. This method must be applied in advance. Therefore, we have a Russian-made vaccine in Nur-Sultan since September 4. We recommend that everyone receive it on time, before the rise of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza,” noted Zhankumus Shaikhislyamova, a pediatrician of the highest category of the #10 city clinic.
The vaccine can also be used for six-month-old children. The medicine is contraindicated only for people who are allergic to chicken protein. Doctors warned that this year the rise of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza will be complicated by coronavirus. Observance with sanitary rules will help to avoid infections. Both sick and healthy should wear a mask. Frequent ventilation in rooms, both at home and in social institutions, offices is also recommended.
“I also recommend that you often wash your hands with soap and use disinfectants. Hand washing not only protects from intestinal infections, but also from viral infections and flu. Rinsing the nasal cavity with a mild saline solution will also help protect, but is not always convenient in transport, therefore fat emulsions are sometimes used. For example, “Oxolin ointment”, it is not always effective, but at the same time it helps. Other “gates” are the mucous membranes of the throat and nose, so you need to rinse them too,” the doctor explained.
Doctors said that traditional methods of strengthening the body also work. It is also worth taking a multivitamin and having a balanced diet.
