1,179 patients recover from COVID-19 in Kazakhstan in last 24 hours
According to Kazakh Health Ministry, the number of patients who recovered from the novel coronavirus in Kazakhstan reached 73,702. In the past day alone, 1,179 COVID-19 patients reported to have recovered.
According to latest data, 722 more positive coronavirus cases were registered in Kazakhstan in the last 24 hours. 374 of them are cases with no clinical symptoms of infection. 156 COVID-19 cases were reported in Nur-Sultan in the past day, 120 in Almaty, seven in Shymkent, 23 in Akmola region, five in Aktobe region, 17 in Almaty region, 11 in Atyrau region, 90 in East Kazakhstan region, 20 in Zhambyl region, 51 in West Kazakhstan region, 87 in Karagandy region, 30 in Kostanai region, six in Kyzylorda region, 19 in Mangystau region, 23 in Pavlodar region, 34 in North Kazakhstan region and 23 in Turkistan region.
To date, there are 100,164 COVID-19 cases in Kazakhstan, including 13,205 in Nur-Sultan, 13,553 in Almaty, 5,114 in Shymkent, 3,069 in Akmola region, 3,108 in Aktobe region, 4,721 in Almaty region, 10,617 in Atyrau region, 7,365 in East Kazakhstan region, 3,909 in Zhambyl region, 6,366 in West Kazakhstan region, 9,509 in Karagandy region, 3,112 in Kostanai region, 3,186 in Kyzylorda region, 3,171 in Mangystau region, 3,554 in Pavlodar region, 3,573 in North Kazakhstan region and 3,032 in Turkistan region.
211 COVID-19-related deaths were registered in Kazakhstan from 3 to 9 August, bringing the nationwide death toll to 1,269.
Kazakh Health Ministry also provided data on pneumonia cases with COVID-19 symptoms. 57 such new cases and nine deaths were registered in Kazakhstan in the last 24 hours. A total of 13,337 cases and 173 fatalities have been reported in the country since August 1.
