Chinese Doctors to Help Kazakhstan in the Battle Against COVID-19
A special plane with the team of Chinese doctors on board is expected to arrive in Nur-Sultan tomorrow, April 9, Kazakh Health Ministry reported. Thirteen highly qualified doctors from China, including pulmonologists, infectious disease and therapeutic specialists are coming to Kazakhstan to help the neighboring country to fight COVID-19. The Chinese delegation will be sharing their experience with the Kazakh colleagues on how to contain the spread of the disease. The Chinese health workers will also tell about the effective quarantine regulations they have followed during the COVID-19 outbreak in China.
The initiative will take place due to the telephone discussion between President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Chinese President Xi Jinping on March 24.
The second shipment of medical humanitarian aid from the Chinese government to Kazakhstan is expected to arrive along with the team of China’s healthcare workers.
