Production and assembly site for transcatheter crosslink was launched in Astana. The device will help cardiologists to treat heart disease without surgery. In particular, this applies to young people who have suffered a stroke, and those who suffer from migraines. Domestically assembled devices are designed not just for hospitals in Kazakhstan, but for export to Europe and the CIS countries. Such a workshop operates only in California, and now we have one in Kazakhstan.
Kazbek AUBAKIROV, PROJECT MANAGER:
We start with the small and in the first year we plan to manufacture about 100 units a year, in the future we want to bring up to 1,000 devices per year. Including not only Kazakhstan, but also the CIS countries and Europe.
