WHO publishes new recommendations for participants and fans of Rio Olympics 2016
The World Health Organization published new recommendations for participants and fans of the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games in Brazil. The number of vaccines that need to be done a few weeks before departure to Brazil has increased in the new list. WHO is concerned over dangerous animals and insects. In addition to the list of mandatory vaccination, the World Health Organization recommends to take injections against hepatitis A and B, yellow fever, typhoid and rabies. In particular, doctors are advised to wear light-colored clothing that covers the body as much as possible. Accommodation must be selected with the air conditioning. Rio visitors are warned to avoid areas without running water and sanitary conditions. Meanwhile, the UN believes that the Zika virus circulation in Brazil should not affect the Olympic Games 2016.
