Development of Green technologies
The International Center of Green Technologies and Investment Projects will be engaged in implementing innovative ideas that were approved during the international exhibition in Astana in 2017. There are more than 100 projects for potential sponsors. All the necessary procedures will be conducted in the center which will be located on the territory of the Expo town.
SALTANAT RAKHIMBEKOVA, CHAIRPERSON, COALITION FOR GREEN ECONOMY:
- The center aims to accumulate and transfer green technologies from developed countries to developing countries. This is to consolidate such a live platform on which all information about the green technologies is collected. This will help our country to fulfill its obligations under the Paris Climate Agreement.
The centers for developing green technologies are already operating in seven regions of Kazakhstan. For example, a unique pyrolysis furnace, LED lamps, solar panels and collectors as well as sensor taps and water purification filters are installed in the school of the Arnasai village of the Akmola region. Due to these technologies, the school saves more than 3 million tenge for the district budget per year. Solar panels and wind generators are installed in the recreation area in the Kostanai region which reduces the load on the power grid.
GALINA SCHNEIDER, HEAD, CENTER FOR GREEN TECHNOLOGIES, KOSTANAI REGION:
- As a result, we get 6 kilowatts of electricity. They work as a smart system in an autonomous mode. Today, we can save up to 100,000 tenge per month by using traditional electricity, when we do not have enough wind and sun.
The centers of green technologies will open across the country. The executive bodies plan to actively cooperate with business representatives and with their help to implement the best innovative projects.
