EXPO 2017 is a new stage in cooperation. Foreign businessmen who took part in the exhibition in Astana talk about its success. Head of one of the largest engineering companies in Italy, Walter Mackey, presented the smart city project at EXPO 2017 in Kazakhstan. It is a new energy-independent district for 120,000 Aktau residents. WALTER MACKEY, TECHNICAL DIRECTOR, BM STUDIO COMPANY:
- We will sign several agreements on project development with companies that will implement it in Aktau. It will be necessary to proceed to actions. We received the approval of the Kazakh government and investors. The project will be launched in the coming months, and I think we will lay the first stone on the city’s territory by the end of the year.
