Astana Opera continues online broadcasts of its performances

The ‘Astana Opera’ State Opera and Ballet Theater intends to continue to delight art lovers with its performances. The theater continues rehearsals and prepares for premieres but keeps the details in secret. Until then, the Astana Opera offers people to watch theater’s best performances and concerts online on its YouTube channel and on the official website.

Today, on June 18, at 7 p.m., the ‘Astana Opera’ theater will broadcast online one of the best world operas ‘Carmen’ by French composer Georges Bizet. The tickets for the ‘Astana Opera’ theater’s premiere of ‘Carmen’ opera staged by Lorenzo Amato were sold out in a matter of hours. The libretto of the ‘Carmen’ opera in four acts was written based on a novella of the same title by a French writer Prosper Merimee. The plot tells the story of a daring and sensual female character Carmen who risked not only the lives of her lovers, but also her own. The incomparable melodies, exotic Spanish setting and a charm of the music of the Georges Bizet’s great masterpiece made the ‘Carmen’ one of the most outstanding operas in world classics.

On June 21 at 7 p.m., the ‘Astana Opera’ theater will broadcast online the ‘Musical kaleidoscope’ concert of musical jokes and funny surprises. The concert brings together the brilliant ‘Astana Opera’ leading soloists, the Symphony Orchestra and the choir of the theater under the direction of Abzal Mukhitdin.

On the Day of the Kazakh Capital celebrated on July 6, at 6 p.m., the ‘Astana Opera’ theater will broadcast online the recording of the ‘Abai’ opera with the participation of its leading soloists.

“We sincerely congratulate the citizens of Kazakhstan with the upcoming holiday – the Day of the Kazakh Capital. Let the music unite all of us on this festive day.
