Famous Bashkir musician joins People’s Unity Day in Kazakhstan challenge

Famous Bashkir musician Azat Bikchurin joined a challenge dedicated to the People’s Unity Day in Kazakhstan organized by Kazakhstan’s Ethnic Assembly secretary of Nur-Sultan city. He performed Abai’s song “Kozimnin karasy” to the accompaniment of a folk instrument called kurai which gave a peculiar and multifaceted sound to the composition.

Over 40 materials were posted on social media under the hashtags #Abai175, #1МАМЫР #Birlikkuni, #BizBirgemiz. Earlier, the song of the great Kazakh poet was performed to the accompaniment of Russian domra, Kyrgyz komuz, violin, Uzbek rubab, flute, cello, piano, accordion and synthesizer.

The main goal of the event is to promote and popularize the creative heritage of Abai as well as strengthen interethnic harmony and peace in the country.
