Kurmangazy Orchestra Marks 85th Anniversary
This year the Kurmangazy Kazakh State Academic Orchestra of National Instruments is celebrating its 85th anniversary. To honor the significant date, a festive concert was held in Nur-Sultan.
The concert’s program included the beautiful melodies of the steppes, as well as world-famous folk compositions. The stars of national pop scene performed at the concert dedicated to the anniversary celebration.
It should be noted that the Orchestra named after the great musician Kurmangazy was founded in 1934. Today the orchestra consists of 85 acknowledged musicians.
On the eve of the event, as part of the celebration, the musicians visited several cities in Kazakhstan with the concert program and also performed on a tour around Europe.
“According to the plan, at the end of the year, we will organize the concert of Aitkali Zhaimov, who has worked in the orchestra for over 15 years. A conductor from Uzbekistan will come to join us in the event. We also want to organize more concerts for our audience. And then we are going on tour to Japan and Germany,” said Director of Kurmangazy Academic Orchestra of National Instruments, Kuanyshbek Mukhangaliyev.
Next year, the Kazakh State Academic Orchestra is planning to go on a tour to the Karaganda, Mangystau and East Kazakhstan regions. Also, the musicians will visit Belarus and France with their concert program.
