‘Astana Musical’ Theater Presented Interpretation of English Comedy
The Astana Musical Theater has presented English playwright Ray Cooney’s ‘Out of Order’ comedy to spectators of the capital. The famous work has a new interpretation specially designed fort tastes of residents and visitors of Nur-Sultan. The play was staged in Kazakh as well.
The story takes place in a hotel room with the number 13. The topic of the ironic satire is commonplace, a love triangle story.
The play was awarded Laurence Olivier Award in 1991. Despite sophisticated storylines, the public can easily understand the plot. The play was directed and staged by owner of the Prize of the Fund of the First President of Kazakhstan, Yeslyam Nurtazin.
“We have tried to adapt the play to our perceptions of the world and to thinking of our spectators. As a result, the public can relate to British people’s lifestyle. Nevertheless, we have included all the ideas of the authors into the performance,” he said.
