Golden Man Procession through the Museums of the World in Tashkent
The History and Culture of the Great Steppe exhibition was opened in Tashkent to mark the Year of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan.
The exhibits include Saka warrior’s costume and gold items dated back to the Iron Age, which are part of the Golden Man Procession through the Museums of the World program.
Deputy Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan, Kamola Akilova said that the exhibition opens new facets of nomadic culture of Kazakhstan.
“Of course, the exposition will enrich our national culture. This is because at the present stage, only the dialogue of cultures can contribute to the birth of art masterpieces,” she said.
The famous Golden Man gained attention from the exhibition visitors. The discovery of the Golden Man proved that the history of Kazakhs originated from the Saka period.
In the Seven Facets of the Great Steppe article, the First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev said that the Golden Man is a national asset for Kazakhstan.
Golden Man Procession through the Museums of the World will soon travel to the United States, Italy, Austria, France and Germany.
