Kazakh Designers Presents Their Collection at Fashion Week in Amsterdam
Kazakh designers presented their fashion designs at the recent Kazakhstan Fashion Day event in Amsterdam.
The event was part of the Asia and Africa Fashion Week.
One of the designers, Khairolla Abishev presented the ‘Singing Dunes’ collection featuring stylish Kazakh traditional costumes adorned with national ornaments and nomads fashion style.
During his collection, models walked down the runway to the music of dombyra and kobyz.
“We are presenting the new collection to mark the Year of Youth. In this collection, I wanted to show our youth and their development as well as their talents and fashion styles,” Abishev said.
He added that the collection has a mixture of European, Asian and African styles embedded in the Kazakh traditional elements.
Other Kazakh designers who took part in the international fashion show include Akbota Toktassynova and Veronica Ivanchenko.
Meanwhile, Kazakh embassy in the Netherlands has organized a photo exhibition ‘Unknown Kazakhstan’ after the fashion show.
The collection included pictures of Kazakhstan’s unique natural sites as well as panoramic pictures of Astana city.
