Works of modern Kazakh artists were presented in London
Works of modern Kazakh artists were presented in London. The works of Kazakh poets, writers, artists and cinematographers were presented at the ‘Modernization of Kazakhstan’s Identity: Modern Kazakh Culture in the Global World’ forum. (The popularization of modern Kazakh culture abroad was discussed at the event). Writers and poets, Beksultan Nurzhekeyev and Bakytzhan Tobayak presented their new works. Kazakh film director Rustem Abdrashev showcased a multi-series film ‘Almas Kylysh,’ which is about the formation of Kazakh Khanate. Painter and sculptor Ruslan Akanayev displayed his collection titled ‘Seasons.’ British intellectuals say that the forum provides an opportunity for the world to learn about Kazakh culture and literature.

As part of the ‘Modernization of Kazakhstan’s Identity’ program, two volumes of the anthology of modern Kazakh literature will be translated into six languages of the UN. The initiative will introduce the world community to Kazakh works and authors as well as integrate the literary pieces into the global process.
