An exhibition fair titled ‘the Eurasian Wealth’ was held in the Russian city of Omsk
An exhibition fair titled ‘the Eurasian Wealth’ was held in the Russian city of Omsk. The event was attended by commodity producers from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Belarus. Experts said the fair opens new cooperation opportunities as part of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). About 500 tonnes of various products were sold in three days.
A resident of Omsk Kaiyrken Zhussupov travelled 150 kilometres just to visit the fair. He is planning to buy a great number of products at the event. According to him, most importantly, the price of the goods reflects the quality.

- I arrived from Gorky district to try our traditional food, drink kumys, eat fresh baursaks, as well as Uzbek pilaf and other traditional food.
The exhibition fair was organized in Omsk for the first time. More than 150 types of products were presented at the fair.

- We want to strengthen our trade and economic cooperation, as well as cultural ties and show the residents of Omsk region how we cooperate with countries that account for more than 50 per cent of Omsk region’s foreign trade with the regions of neighbouring countries. We want to bring the nations together and live like a large happy family.
Moreover, artisans presented their works, such as souvenirs and other crafts at the fair.
