Magzhan Zhumabayev’s original book in Latin script
A unique collection of poems of the Kazakh poet, writer and publicist Magzhan Zhumabayev has recently been discovered in Norther Kazakhstan. This is the original of the first poems collection titled ‘Sholpan’ printed in Kazan in 1912 by the famous publishing house of Karimov brothers. The publication includes 30 works from early life of one of the founders of the modern Kazakh literature. The book ‘Sholpan’ brought wide popularity to the author. Now, the readers can get acquainted with the rare edition in the archive of the North-Kazakhstan region. In addition to the collection of poems, there are more than 30 original and nearly 100 copies of documents related to Magzhan Zhumabayev.

- This collection is published in Kazakh in the Arabic alphabet. Professor at the Manash Kozybayev University Zarkyn Taishybai translated the book. The collection consists of 50 pages including works like Spring, My Native Land - Sasykkol and To Abai Khakim.
Magzhan Zhumabayev's books have been translated into Russian, Tatar and Turkish. A presentation of the collection of selected works in the Uzbek language was recently organized. The TURKSOY International Organization of Turkic culture declared 2018 as the year of outstanding Kazakh poet Magzhan Zhumabayev.
