ARMAN ZHUDEBAYEV, PRINCIPAL CONDUCTOR, DINA NURPEISSOVA ACADEMIC FOLK ORCHESTRA:
- We were very happy to present our Kazakh kuis and folk music on the stage in Paris. We will do our best to promote our folk music at all platforms and stages all over the world.
ALBERT FISCHLER, SPECTATOR:
- It was a true pleasure! We enjoyed the music of the great Kurmangazy. This is legendary and at the same time wonderful orchestra, thanks to its conductor that demonstrated the beauty of the Great Steppe! The musicians showed the great quality of the ancient instruments, kobyz and dombyra.
The folk orchestra also performed the classic works of famous composers such as Johann Strauss, Georges Bizet and Hubert Giraud.
DANIEL URBAN, SPECTATOR:
- I enjoyed the concert a lot! I expected to listen to folk music, but the concert exceeded all my expectations. It was a symphonic folklore! I like the classics of the 18-19th centuries, but it was also thrilling to hear the rhythms and symphonic compositions from Central Asia.
TABAREK DOGU, MEMBER OF KAZAKH DIASPORA IN PARIS:
- We are happy to attend the Kazakh folk music concert at the very center of Europe, in Paris! We only wish that these concerts were held here more often.
The performance of the Kazakh orchestra musicians was held as part of the Modernization of Kazakhstan’s Identity program and the Modern Kazakh Culture in the Global World project with the assistance of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in France.
