Magzhan Zhumabayev’s works in Uzbek language
A collection of Magzhan Zhumabayev’s selected works has been translated into Uzbek for the first time. Folk poet from Karakalpakstan, Muzaffar Akhmad translated the collection. The book was presented at a research conference. Magzhan Zhumabayev had lived in Tashkent for two years. He was a teacher at the Kazakh-Kyrgyz Institute of Education. He was actively collaborating with newspapers and magazines which published his poems and research literary works.

- The announcement of 2018 as the year of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan has given a great impetus to development of relations between the nations. We have attended an event dedicated to the work of Magzhan. The memory and study of the works of such personalities as Magzhan promotes the revival of relations in literature and research between the two countries.
Representatives of the International Turkic Academy and the Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature have organized the event. Scientists discussed up to date topics of development of the Turkic world as well as cultural heritage of Al-Farabi, Navoyi and Abai. The meeting participants signed a memorandum of cooperation. In addition, a delegation from Kazakhstan in honor of the year of Abai in Uzbekistan donated the books of the outstanding Kazakh poet and writer to a local center.
